Oh, and they also have this really nifty Pit Bull Education Class on Wednesday, July 22nd at the same location. Learn about the breed and perhaps meet some of the sweetest little muffins you’d ever want to have by your side.

I grew up with pitbulls and rotties and I love them. They can be the sweetest dogs when they have great owners, which my father was (they adored him). What’s funny is that he always named them Lady and Kojak, so that the kids would remember their name. For years I thought our dogs lived for eons, but there were two Ladies and two Kojaks.
This post is fantastic news. I love to hear about organizations that are being proactive and caring in their treatment of pitbulls. I’m so tired of people being afraid because of the terrible stories that come out. I wish the media would focus more on the dog owner’s treatment of the animal instead of the animal.
Someone even advised me not to post pics of or discuss pitbulls for my business, because I might offend a lot of people and drive business away. But I’d rather focus on education and risk offense than turn my back on dogs that were so sweet to me (Lady used to let me ride her when I was 3).
