Roxy

Dear Roxy, I’ve been singing Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady” ever since I started working on your photos.  It’s beginning to wear on me, I must say.  But…your face can stay stuck in my head forever because it’s so darn adorable, I can’t get enough of it!  “I just can’t get enough, I just can’t enough.  We slip and slide…”  Okay, on to Depeche Mode and the rest of this post. ;-)

Roxy is, you’re never going to believe this, ten years old!  Her looks have obviously not changed since she was a wee tyke because she still has that bear cub face.  Wouldn’t we all like to age this well?

I cannot begin to describe how sweet, well-mannered, well-meaning, considerate, patient, friendly and easy-going she is.  She’s a treasure and I really had a wonderful afternoon with her.

A peaceful and most genuine soul, she loves to give lots of little kisses and she hugs too!  If you ask her for a hug, she will come over, sit on her hind legs and gently place both her paws on your shoulders (you must also be sitting down, for a lady doesn’t jump on people ;-) )

Thank you, Roxy for showing me the favorite spots in your home and letting me in on just how awesome you are.

O. M. G. Seriously.

This article just landed in my inbox and it merited more than a forward.  It required it’s own post, linking to the brilliant author of this commentary on the PooTrap.  I am…well…yeah…I’m speechless.  And appalled.  And embarrassed.  So embarrassed.

Enjoy!

Bella

Bella, or Bella Beans if you’re on that level with her, is the nicest, sweetest, adorable little thing!  Do you not agree?

She resides in Winter Haven, FL where she was nominated “Most Likely To Be Everyone’s Friend” by her peers.  Okay, I kind of nominated her for that superlative but that’s neither here nor there.  She is everyone’s friend and she has a few best buds that she hangs out with in the neighborhood.  (I’m told her best friend is a Schnauzer- hee hee!)

She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES her ball…in a kind of Lenny and the rabbits/Of Mice and Men way…but c’mon, who doesn’t like to tear the pentagons off of soccer balls?  It’s a favorite past time of mine, I’ll say it right now.  She is incredibly playful, adores people, hasn’t a mean bone in her adorably squishy and squaty body and I simply could not get enough of her!  :-)

Her expressions make you laugh and cry at the same time, hence shelter and protect her while rough-housing with her …egging her to show you what she’s got.  She’s incredible.  She’s amenable to anything but also does whatever the heck she pleases in the most modest and unpretentious way.  If she were a person, I’d hang out with her just to make my mind relaxed and happy.  No doubt, she offers the same kind of comfort as a dog- she’s a real good listener. ;-)

Thank you, Miss Bella, for a truly wonderful session.  You are a gem!  And a big thanks to her Mom & Dad for having me out for a play date! :-)
