“Beau” ADOPTED YAY!!

These are Reuger’s ribs. They are protruding along with his hips and spine.  They shouldn’t be.  An animal should never look like this.

This is Reuger’s face.  He is an amazing dog and he needs a home that will treat him with the respect he deserves; the kind of care to match his face and not his ribs.  :-(

Update:  Reuger ADOPTED, YAY!!

and Sophie makes two…

Last year I had a fabulous rendezvous with Gracie (above left), a charming and sweet-natured Cavalier (I know, as if Cavaliers are known for being vicious, ugly and bratty or something).  Anyway, her new sister Sophie had just been introduced to the family and needed to gather her surroundings before she became a model.A year later, Sophie had her day in the shade!  Such a gorgeous little squishable face with deep brown eyes you can dive into.  This dog got so many kisses, you have no idea.

She’s also got the funk and the spunk, I mean it!  She’s incredibly toy motivated and LOVES to go bounding after anything you throw.  She even has her own toy chest and as you can see above she enjoys rummaging through it and picking out her favs.  It’s incredibly entertaining to watch. ;-)

She’s insanely adorable, a perfect match for her sister (when they wrestle it’s hysterical) and at the end of the day will curl up into a ball of sugar and just temp you to try and fit in her doughnut bed alongside her.

Thank you Laura, Brent & Gracie for having me out again!  A perfect Sunday!  :-)

Lily & Abby

Lily is the dazzling older sister (she’s four and proud of it) of this adorable duo.  She has a long mane of magnificent Maltese hair and a requirement of being the center of attention at all times- no exceptions.  I was more than happy to oblige. :-)

A shy side quickly fell away to a demonstration of her talents.  Drag racing around the bedroom, pit stopping under the bed, tappity-tapping across the floor to grab her favorite “cookie monster” toy (it’s like the size of a thumb- hee hee- I love little dogs!) and pausing to regain her regal composure.

A true delight and a natural beauty, she’s the queen of the house, allowing her Mom, Dad and sister Abby to share the place with her.  After all, a queen most certainly needs servants to provide her with scrumptious treats, all the toys one could imagine, a game of chase and most of all, lots of love and attention.  She deserves every bit of it.  :-)

Abby is the very little sister (5 months- squeeaaal!!) who is patient and sweet but has a wonderful sass to her personality.  She’s a daredevil and a tomboy and tries everything her sister does.

She even mustered up the courage to go down the steps and onto the grass for the first time, following her sister.  “If she can do it, I can do it!”  She nervously stepped down the stairs- It reminded me of that scene in Beetlejuice when they walk out off their front porch into the world of the sandworm.  But once she got down…’she found herself’ is the only way I can describe it- ha ha!  She was swirling and rolling and racing.  Oh, the joy.  When she wasn’t a blur of white fur she rested on the porch and generally looked absolutely adorable.

These two were awesome to work with and I received so many teeny tiny little kisses (which I promptly bottled, upon returning home, to save for a gloomy day) . ;-)    An afternoon of entertainment for sure!  Thank you!

Park It!

We have been fortunate to have some of the most beautiful days lately and I refused to stay inside.  I spent several awesome hours at Fleet Peeples Park yesterday.  Thanks to everyone for letting me hang out with your dogs as they played, wrestled, fetched, tugged and swam to their hearts content!  It was so nice meeting everyone and I had a blast!  :-)    If you’d like to view the complete batch of photos or order prints, click here. 10% of proceeds from any print orders will be donated to Friends of Fleet Peeples Park.

Wanted: Forever Homes

The precious little ones below are waiting for you to come snatch them up and shower them with love and kisses for all the rest of their years.  I can personally vouch for their sweet nature and desperate longing to go home.  :-)   All patiently waiting at the Central Florida SPCA, Conroy Location.  Names are listed below each image.

This blog post was torture for me because I couldn’t get it up sooner.  You see, this session was a surprise birthday present and I couldn’t risk a breach in security.  It feels so good to air my doggie laundry now…  HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMELA!  I have to say you have one Hollywood movie actress of a dog.  Just look at her!  :-)

In fact, were she a real movie star she would definitely be Dogthryn Hepburn, hands down.  And here’s why…she’s simply stunning, a natural beauty with gorgeous liquid brown eyes…

…but she has this Hepburn-esque hang with the guys, I hate barrettes, give me a cigar I’m no frilly nilly, attitude about her.  Granted she’s not a big fan of grass or anything close to it, she prefers the pool deck or to be perched atop the sofa.  But I’m not kidding about the barrettes.  I was provided a box of ornate hair clips and hoozie whats-its to demonstrate her seriousness.  About 1.3 milliseconds after I clipped one in, she was lawn-mowering her head across the carpet as if screaming (my client’s clever words, not mine) “it burns, it burns!”.  It was absolutely hysterical.

At one point I actually brushed her hair out (it is gorgeous).  She let me brush everything into place and no sooner had I finished the last stroke she shakes everything out.  ha ha ha!  But get this…in order to peek at her eyes once in a while, I styled her mane into what I told her was an homage to Billy Idol (what I was really thinking was a troll doll but shhhhh…).

And, as you can clearly see, she bought it.  Not once did she shake out the troll d- ahem- punk rock look.  Not once.  It’s like she knew the look was her.  She loves her hair flying wild and it does that just.  She was amazing to work with and obviously incredibly photogenic!  ;-)

I also couldn’t resist taking a couple plant pictures.  The garden was beautiful and the dew on the flowers was too tempting.  I noticed this vine (below) had taken a little branchling hostage with it’s spiral grasp.  I would’ve asked what the ransom was but I had a dog to photograph. ;-)
