Sasha & Goldie

- Lake Mary, FL pet photography -

I LOVE seeing these girls!  They always brighten my morning and their varying personalities leave me with perfect balance for the rest of the day.  Sigh  :-)

Sasha1

Sasha is a vial of love concentrate.  She is the epitome of a Golden.  So kind, aiming to please, beyond gentle, patient and tolerant (you’ll see why later- hee hee).  She kinda makes me want to cry the same why a really happy movie does.  Just because she’s so nice, you can’t express it any other way.

Sasha2

Sasha3

The patient and tolerant part.  When it comes to silliness and getting a laugh at my furry client’s expense, I really can’t help myself.  I do thank them when I’ve got my giggles under control and they don’t mind all the embarrassing pictures of them plastered all over the internet ;-)

Goldie2

Goldie is the gorgeous, headstrong, get-up-and-go girl of the duo.  She’s a woman with a to-do list and the constant motivation to get it all done.  One of the things on her daily list is neighborhood watch.  She loves to stare out the window and alert everyone of suspicious activity…a car driving down the street, a leaf falling to the ground…you know, the important stuff.  ;-)

Goldie1

Goldie4

She’s regal and athletic, loves to swim and play in the yard (she’s also a member of the lizard hunting club).  Her silky soft coat and those endearing tufts of fur branching out of her ears get me every time.  I just adore her!

Goldie3

Thank you again Jackie and James for having me hang out with your girls!

Jackson & Saisha

Jackson is happy.  Jackson is sweet.  Jackson is a gentle soul who puts you at ease when you’re in his presence.

Jackson4

He (warning, throat lump ahead) has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer.  I encourage all who read this to send wonderful thoughts and prayers his way to knock that stupid cancer into smitherines.  I have good reason to believe it will work too.  I knew upon arrival that he had been braving chemo treatments and pain killers so I was fully prepared to keep it slow-going.  Jackson had other plans.  :-)

Jackson1

I happened to bring a squishy soccer ball along to the session and he went crazy for it!  Honestly, I was there for several hours and all he wanted to do was squish, squish, squish with his slobbery Golden mouth.  It never got old- hee hee!  He romped, he chased, he stuck his butt in the air just a munchin’ on that ball.  He rested, oh, once in a while but no more than anyone else would rest.  He doesn’t know he’s under the weather so please don’t tell him, just send those good thoughts and let them float like butterflies around him.  :-)

Jackson3

He has a movie star face and a fabulous character.  He also loves to put his selective hearing ear muffs on when his Mom wants something from him- hee hee!

Jackson2

Saisha is Jackson’s gorgeous sister.  So snuggly soft and dainty.  She knows it too and makes sure to steer all the attention toward her, should someone else be receiving it at any given moment. ;-)

Saisha1

She’s unintentionally comical and loves to fill your range of vision with her face.  It’s so funny, I have quite a few overhead shots of her because the minute I would come to her level, she would get all excited and wag herself over to my eyeballs.  LOL :-)

Saisha2

She is a sweet, sweet girl whose come a long way since her rescue.  Her mom did a wonderful job of getting her to like the world and befriend everyone who’s in it.

Saisha4

Oh, and did I mention she’s a Golden which means she’s ball crazy?  Look at that targeted fetch face- ha ha!  Talk about focus, right?

Saisha3

I had a fabulous afternoon with these two, they certainly made my day.  Thank you Melaina and a very happy birthday to you!

Roxy

Dear Roxy, I’ve been singing Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady” ever since I started working on your photos.  It’s beginning to wear on me, I must say.  But…your face can stay stuck in my head forever because it’s so darn adorable, I can’t get enough of it!  “I just can’t get enough, I just can’t enough.  We slip and slide…”  Okay, on to Depeche Mode and the rest of this post. ;-)

Roxy is, you’re never going to believe this, ten years old!  Her looks have obviously not changed since she was a wee tyke because she still has that bear cub face.  Wouldn’t we all like to age this well?

I cannot begin to describe how sweet, well-mannered, well-meaning, considerate, patient, friendly and easy-going she is.  She’s a treasure and I really had a wonderful afternoon with her.

A peaceful and most genuine soul, she loves to give lots of little kisses and she hugs too!  If you ask her for a hug, she will come over, sit on her hind legs and gently place both her paws on your shoulders (you must also be sitting down, for a lady doesn’t jump on people ;-) )

Thank you, Roxy for showing me the favorite spots in your home and letting me in on just how awesome you are.

Mojo

This is Mojo.  He is ROTFL.  I told him the one about the skeleton who walked into a bar and ordered a beer and a mop.  Think about it for a bit, it’ll click.  And then I was all, “What did zero say to eight?  Nice belt!”  (You’ll get that one too in a few hours.)  He thought they were hysterical and I like anyone who laughs at my jokes.

I had to bring out the funny artillery because Mojo is super-duper camera shy.  He remained pretty much elusive for our entire shoot- ha ha- but he warmed up to the camera a little, especially when his people sister came out to play.  He LOVES his people siblings.  And they certainly love him back.

He is a wonderful family dog, and he has such a snuggly coat!

He’s really, really sweet and like all good dogs, loves a good roll in the grass after a dip in the pool.

He likes to stand on the first ledge of the pool and just watch his sister play around.  His belly fur gets soaked and I think it makes such pretty patterns.  ;-)

Mojo, you are certainly a lucky charm, thank you! :-)

Goldie & Sasha

“Weeeee!!”  Goldie is a Golden mix with no shortage of energy.  She loves her own private agility course in her yard and she did not miss an opportunity to show off her killer skills…or her beauty.  She’s focused and ready for action at any minute and she is most entertaining if I do say so.  She’s also gorgeous and oh so SOFT!  I just love!

Sasha, Goldie’s older sister, is mellow and gentle and kind and sweet and soulful…need I go on?  She’s just so peaceful and brought to our session the kind of energy that yoga is supposed to provide.  She lowers the heart rate and completely puts one at ease.  Her eyes tug at my heart and you just want to engulf her in an endless hug.  Sigh. She and Goldie compliment each other so wonderfully and they are perfect companions.  Harold and Maude.  Ozzy & Harriet.  Sugar and Spice.  I just love working with these ladies! :-)

It was a wonderful morning and a fabulous shoot.  I left their house calm, relaxed and more flexible.  Yoga, schmoga.  I’m hangin’ with these chicks more often. ;-)

Harper

Harper is an adorable young Golden.  She’s soft and cuddly and and has the sweetest little smile, right? :-)

She loves peeking in the bushes, laying on the bushes (which flattens them and she’s not really supposed to but it’s just so cute!) and tip toe-ing behind the bushes into her secret lair where she brings all her toys.

She’s mellow and peaceful and her expressions make me melt a little bit.

Thank you Harper for a fantabulous morning! :-)

Cody

To say Cody is sweet would be a gross understatement.  His Mom had him photographed for his Dad’s Christmas present.  Shhhh!  (I have her permission to showcase him early).  He’s an 8 year old Golden Retriever and simply gorgeous.

He was described to me as “that one dog”.  As in, the best dog you’ve ever had and words can’t describe what makes him the best.  He just is and you want him to live for 200 years to share the love.  I totally get it.

And I totally see it too.  Cody had an impression on me.  He really just wants to please and he has the most peaceful, comforting and kind essence about him.  He made my day bliss while we played on the land and in the lake.

He LOVES to swim.  I got in the lake with him (yes, it was cold- hee hee) and he proceeded to blow bubbles.  I was cracking up.  He sticks his head under water, with eyes open and hunts for things to play with while blowing bubbles.  The sound and the sight was just too much, I could barely hold the camera steady I was laughing so hard.  He holds his breath for REALLY long too, it’s nerve-wracking, ha ha!  The only way I knew he was okay was that his tail kept wagging while his head was completely submerged.

His first bottom-sweep resulted in a giant wood chip and he was SO EXCITED about it.  He was just beaming  and he carried it around for a few victory laps.  :-)

Cody’s Dad, you are very lucky.  Cody is a true friend, a gentle soul and a worthy comedian.  Thank you for sharing.  :-)
