Maggie, Maggie puddin’ and pie…Kissed the boys (at doggie daycare) and made them cry.  Actually, Maggie doesn’t really make anyone cry.  Laugh, giggle, squeal?  That’s more like it.  Although she does attend doggie day care at Dog Day Afternoon as ‘the bosses daughter’.  Her Mom is one of the managers at the fabulous establishment, so she’s kind of a social butterfly.  And, at a sprite and dazzling eleven (and a half) years old she’s pretty much a cougar.  So, maybe she does tease all the boys but I’m sure they just wag their tails and say, “anything for you Miss Maggie”.  ;-)

Maggie4

She has a face that melts you and an obsession with treats that she could go pro with.  She loves treats.  She’s a Beagle.  And, that nose knows where to find the stash when you’re not dispensing them fast enough.  I fell in love with her velvet ears and hazelnut eyes, both of which encompass a personality I wish I could keep in my pocket for rainy days.  Thank you Maggie Pie, Kate and Dave for a wonderful Shortie!

Brandy

Brandy is an ADORABLE little Beagle.  Just look at those lovely eyes- oh my!!  She’s super friendly, warms your heart and is such a great little companion.  She is one of those even-keel friends who enjoys a good time and is pretty much up for anything.  Totally easy going.  :-)

In case you aren’t aware, one of my favorite sounds is the sound of a dog crunching on an apple (or a cheese puff, but I did not bring cheese puffs, just so we’re clear).  I did however, bring a delicious organic gala  (my favorite apple) because it was leaked that Brandy loves, absolutely loves, apples.  It was quickly confirmed.  She became my bestest friend and I got to listen to that wonderful “chough, chough” to my hearts delight.  Hee hee!

She’s a little adventurous, not shy at all and totally rules the house.  It’s pretty awesome.  My favorite part was near the end of our session when she decided she wanted this one particular toy that I brought…even though she didn’t play with it the rest of the entire time.  She nabbed it and ran away, ultimately taking a stand at the top of the stairs with a “just you try and come up here” look on her face.  It’s funny because it’s not so much that she wanted us to chase and play with her and the toy.  She totally just wanted to keep it and that’s the way it was going to be.  It was SO funny!  I, of course, happily conceded to her wishes.  :-)

Thank you, Miss Brandy for a wonderful morning!  Thank you, mother nature, for raining just AFTER our session had ended.  And, thank you, Tracy & Pete for the wonderful new friend I made.

Maxx

As in, Maxx-A-Million-Faces.  This little dude had so much personality, it’s crazy.  He’s up for anything, he’ll go anywhere and do anything!  I arrived early in the morning and he came to the door with his little sleepy mole face- hee hee!  Wandering up to the door, half awake, his eyes slowly opened up to get-up-and-go size, it was sooo cute!

He personally selected and played with EVERY toy I had in my bag.  He liked them all and he’s super easy-going.  He smiles and wags, his tail unfolding from it’s cinnamon bun when he’s on a mission.

And he had many missions that day…like taking crazy pills and zooming around the yard.  ha ha!

He has a face I absolutely could not get enough of and I petted and squooshed him ’till my hearts delight!

When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he replied, “a carousel animal, see?”  ;-)

Maxx, thank you for getting up so early, I hope you had as much fun as I did.  :-)

“Beau” ADOPTED YAY!!

These are Reuger’s ribs. They are protruding along with his hips and spine.  They shouldn’t be.  An animal should never look like this.

This is Reuger’s face.  He is an amazing dog and he needs a home that will treat him with the respect he deserves; the kind of care to match his face and not his ribs.  :-(

Update:  Reuger ADOPTED, YAY!!

Park It!

We have been fortunate to have some of the most beautiful days lately and I refused to stay inside.  I spent several awesome hours at Fleet Peeples Park yesterday.  Thanks to everyone for letting me hang out with your dogs as they played, wrestled, fetched, tugged and swam to their hearts content!  It was so nice meeting everyone and I had a blast!  :-)    If you’d like to view the complete batch of photos or order prints, click here. 10% of proceeds from any print orders will be donated to Friends of Fleet Peeples Park.
