Bree & Pippin (and Christopher)

I caught this affectionate trio the day before they moved to Austin, TX.  Literally, the day before.  The only thing that had not been taken by the movers was this fantabulous yellow chair.  Photographic kismet I tell you!  It was perfect…it also ended up in my truck at the end of the session and now lives in my home.  I adore it.  ;-)   And it will always remind me of the time I had with these wonderful weens!!

Bree & Pippin are freakin’ adorable.  There’s no other way about it.  They look out for each other, adore each other and kind of love their photograph being taken.  Pippin trims his own nails (honest!) while Bree prefers to keep the length (screaming at anyone who tries to cut them).  Bree also loves her ‘babies’ and falls asleep with her owl toy in her mouth, the owl’s muffled hoo-hooting singing her a lullaby.  And, of course, both doxies will do almost anything for a snack.  ;-)

Christopher2Although Christopher the cat still resides in Florida (he moved in with his Grandma) he decided he needed to play a part in all this attention.  He has Vogue written all over him too.  All these animals live, love and nap together in perfect harmony.  I didn’t want them (or there mom) to leave! My very best wishes and love to you Holly!!  Austin will be awesome!

Monty

I don’t even know if I can write words deemed worthy enough for the amount of cuteness that Monty beholds.  Seriously, is he not the most squishable, loveable, huggable, squeezable muffin in all the land?  I think I died a little bit when I first saw him.

He is a new addition to a family of Maltese (Abby & Lily) who, in fact, had their annual holiday session a few weeks ago and I’m so terrible I haven’t had time to post some updated photos of those two lovely girls.  But trust me, the trio is dyno-mite!  So, Abby & Lily had their session and then I’m notified by their parents that Monty’s face apparently got the best of them during an adoption day at the pet supply store.  Poof!  And then there were three.  :-)

I really couldn’t be happier because I got to play with him and he pretty much rocked my puppy world.  A dachshund mix (could be a little wire terrier, could be a little schnauzer) with that awesome wire-ey puff snout that resembles the cutest looking toilet brush you ever would see, he’s got a huge personality.*

He’s super playful but very attentive.  He absolutely loves his teeny tiny toys and will go all terrier and dig for treats if they’re somewhere hidden.  He’s a giant snuggler and I totally took advantage of that by swaddling him in everything…including a fluffy scarf.  He’s amazing!  He’s a perfect companion and you just cannot get enough of his expressions, it’s ridiculous. I am so happy I was able to photograph him and so happy he got adopted that day!  He’s going to have to hold his own with both girls in the house but I think he’ll do just fine.  He’s got the charm and the looks.  ;-)

*Another client of mind referred to her dog’s snout as a toilet brush so I must give her credit here for that awesome visual.

Angel & Max

This pair is killing me, can you get any cuter?!  The answer is no, and they are very aware of that. ;-)

Angel, is an angel of course.  And angels always annihilate toys and take food away from their brother.  :-)   She’s perfectly entitled because look at that little face!

She has a few back issues but you’d never know because she never misses her acupuncture appointments.  For the record, I did not encourage all of the fun she was having because I figured she’d want to take it easy…but I lost that battle.  She told me how things were going to go down and I was like, “okay, ma’am.  You da boss.”  She is pretty awesome.

Max is an equal competitor in the handsome department (well, they have 4 other siblings and, I have to say, they’re all tied).  He’s a little more go-with-the-flow…Patient and observant and he’s made of sugar.

I just loved all of his bits and parts!

This truly is one of my faves of his ears!

Dachshunds are just adorable and their bums are no exception.  Angel, on the left, going through her door for the 100th time and Max, on the right, climbing onto his outdoor bed is just too much.  We got finished right as a storm moved in but I had some serious fun with these guys that morning.  Thank you! :-)
