Such a splendid afternoon had I with Miss Kaley. Her eyes, her expressions, her sheer kindness. She’s a doggie dream come true. A rescue (yay) Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, she was brought in at adult age at only 15 POUNDS!! Horrendous, I know! Her parents knew she was the one and they have nurtured her into the amazing companion she is today. A truly gentle soul, she was so patient with Miss Erica and her photo session which interrupted lizard hunting. Going on lizard safari is one of Kaley’s absolute favorite pastimes.

She has key hunting grounds throughout the yard and patio that she visits in succession. One of my favorites to join her on was the bamboo forest (hee hee). The warmth of her personality matched the summer afternoon and I totally zen-ed out listening to the bamboo sway over our heads. Kaley simply continued to look like the Next Top Model, on assignment in Vietnam.

She is silky soft and clearly gorgeous. She is beyond friendly, inviting and welcoming and I could have gazed into her eyes all afternoon…wait, I did. And it was awesome. In between safaris we lounged on her bed with her very own pillows to match the grown-up couch and peered out the front window watching the world go by. Thank you, Miss Kaley, Laurie & Jill for an amazing afternoon with your amazing lady.

Jackson is a giant sucker for a frisbee. Or, rather, whoever is throwing it for him is the sucker. He is tireless and determined and SO very focused on the task at hand. It is incredibly fun to watch him play!
And, ladies…when this handsome bachelor is not retrieving colorful objects and keeping in shape by swimming 3,000 laps he works with children. Lemme hear it… “Awwww”
Maggie is also a big player in the community service world. She, too, is a registered R.E.A.D Dog and makes many visits to area hospitals, special needs centers, schools and nursing homes. She loves a good game of frisbee (of course) and if you promise not to say anything I’ll tell you a secret…
She also looks dazzling in her blue towel- I mean- her majesty’s robe. Yes.
These guys just rocked this session and it is a complete fun fest working with them. Both are members of Therapy Dogs Inc. and are stellar citizens of the community if I do say so myself!
