Mon Cherie, “Monique”

This blog post was torture for me because I couldn’t get it up sooner.  You see, this session was a surprise birthday present and I couldn’t risk a breach in security.  It feels so good to air my doggie laundry now…  HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMELA!  I have to say you have one Hollywood movie actress of a dog.  Just look at her!  :-)

In fact, were she a real movie star she would definitely be Dogthryn Hepburn, hands down.  And here’s why…she’s simply stunning, a natural beauty with gorgeous liquid brown eyes…

…but she has this Hepburn-esque hang with the guys, I hate barrettes, give me a cigar I’m no frilly nilly, attitude about her.  Granted she’s not a big fan of grass or anything close to it, she prefers the pool deck or to be perched atop the sofa.  But I’m not kidding about the barrettes.  I was provided a box of ornate hair clips and hoozie whats-its to demonstrate her seriousness.  About 1.3 milliseconds after I clipped one in, she was lawn-mowering her head across the carpet as if screaming (my client’s clever words, not mine) “it burns, it burns!”.  It was absolutely hysterical.

At one point I actually brushed her hair out (it is gorgeous).  She let me brush everything into place and no sooner had I finished the last stroke she shakes everything out.  ha ha ha!  But get this…in order to peek at her eyes once in a while, I styled her mane into what I told her was an homage to Billy Idol (what I was really thinking was a troll doll but shhhhh…).

And, as you can clearly see, she bought it.  Not once did she shake out the troll d- ahem- punk rock look.  Not once.  It’s like she knew the look was her.  She loves her hair flying wild and it does that just.  She was amazing to work with and obviously incredibly photogenic!  ;-)

I also couldn’t resist taking a couple plant pictures.  The garden was beautiful and the dew on the flowers was too tempting.  I noticed this vine (below) had taken a little branchling hostage with it’s spiral grasp.  I would’ve asked what the ransom was but I had a dog to photograph. ;-)
